First let me say that I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That is the actual and proper name for our church. Our church is often referred to as the LDS Church, or the Mormon Church. This series of posts was at the request of some of my friends on Facebook. You can read more about that here–on my Landing Page or introduction for the Write 31 Days Challenge.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
In the LDS church, we are taught when we are young that being a missionary is a good thing and just something you should want to do. It is taught to us through lessons and even through music. If you are LDS, you most likely learned this song in Primary (the children’s program in our church):
In fact, many LDS parents start to teach their young children this song even before they reach Primary age (3 years old). Is there anything cuter than this little boy? I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing, and thought you should get to experience him as well. He’s adorable. Besides, there is nothing sweeter than when he says, “Jesus loves you.” , and then later when he says, “I love Jesus.” Believe me, you want to see this. It will make your day. I promise.
Oh my gosh – I love that second video! How precious is that little guy?!
I’m really looking forward to this series and hearing more about your own mission and Gary’s and Chandler’s also. Should be interesting!
