I have decided to share a 72 day daily challenge with you each day until Easter, April 1st. We are doing this in our Relief Society, and I thought I would like to share it here as well. I shared a little about the challenge here.
Each day I will share the daily video here and then my personal thoughts about it after I have personally watched it. Today is Day 41.
Jesus Declares the Parable of the Lost Sheep
Jesus teaches there shall be joy in heaven over one repentant sinner.
Luke 15:2-7
2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 ¶And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
My Impressions:
There are times when I am in the flock. There are times I make mistakes and become the one sheep that is losing my way or is lost. I am thankful for a loving shepherd that comes and brings me back to the fold.
