1. What is something that bothers you if its not done perfectly?
Spelling. I immediately thought of this and asked my husband what he thought bothered me if it wasn’t done perfectly and he instantly said the same thing. LOL! I have to admit that seeing words spelled incorrectly really, really bothers me. It is a good thing that Chandler is such a good speller, or I would most likely lose my mind homeschooling him each day.
2. What is one of your best childhood memories?
I think that one of the things I probably cherish the most is when my Dad would be home from his cruises with the Navy. He would bring me these really great suckers. They were red and cherry flavored. They seemed so huge to me when I was little. Often, he would sit next to me on my bed at night and help me learn my ABC’s and practice counting. I really felt loved at those times and felt like I was the most important person in his world.
I knew my Mom loved me too. She used to sing me songs at night to help me go to sleep. She also always told me stories of when she and Dad met and I loved hearing all about it. Those stories and songs were like a big, giant hug.
3. Do you plan to watch the Royal Wedding and when was the last time you wore a hat?
I haven’t decided if I will watch it or not. I remember watching Princess Diana and Prince Charles during their wedding. I guess we will see if it makes it on my television that day or not.
The last time I wore a hat, (other than a winter one to stay warm), would have to be before I was married. I used to wear hats often. I was a hat person. Not sure why I quit wearing them…
4. Where do you fall in the birth order in your family? Do you think this has influenced your personality?
I am the oldest in my family and I have NO doubt this has influenced my personality to a great degree. I am used to mothering and being the responsible one. I tend to be bossy at times. My husband is the baby of his family, and I can see big differences in our personalities because of it. LOL!
5. Where do you think you spend most of your money?
Bills. It mainly goes to bills. One day I will have another answer. That is my goal.
6. When you need to confront someone would you rather communicate in person, by phone, by email or by letter? Why?
I absolutely hate confrontation. I would much rather do it in an email or a letter. The main reason is because I tend to cry and I hate that. In an email or letter, the other person can’t see your tears.
7. Dodgeball, freeze tag, kickball or jump rope? You have to pick one.
Freeze Tag. I remember playing this for hours as a kid. I loved that game.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Today we received our new Television. It was a bit of a surprise as I had only ordered it last Thursday and the initial order said we wouldn’t get it until around May 19th. Surprise! Talk about fast service!
Now that we have it all set up, I have to say it is really nice to look at a big screen once again. I can see everything even with my terrible eyesight. I am sure we will enjoy watching a few movies on it for our homeschool. Heck, I am sure we will enjoy it for watching most anything.
We did make a new rule though. We are not allowed to use the white board on the easel in the living room. Those can all be taught in the kitchen where there isn’t a television to break when the easel falls. Yes, that is what happened to our old television last Fall. It was my fault. So we aren’t taking any chances this time. After all, rules are for klutzes like me. 😉
