So today, I am vowing to pick up the pieces again. I want to do better on my blogging. I need to blog. Writing has always been who I am and how I express myself. I am a lover of words and I need to start getting them back onto paper or in this case, onto my blog. Words make me happy. They have power. The relieve stress for me. Believe me when I say that I need some stress relief!
Another thing I am gearing up for is NanoWriMo. I love and adore National Novel Writing Month. We have made it a tradition in our homeschool to set aside all other writing curriculum and concentrate on getting a set number of words onto paper. My son participates in the Young Writers Program for NanoWriMo. His goal this year is to complete 15,000 words. I will be working on 50,000 words.
Yesterday, we plotted out his book using a 15 point plot outline. We went over his story idea and he now has a roadmap for completing his masterpiece. That should help for the times when he is wondering which direction to take his story. I still need to do one for my novel. I have a solid idea. But I need to do my 15 point outline. I will be finishing that up this weekend. I do have to be ready to go on November 1st, after all.
So here’s to NanoWriMo, blogs, and picking up the pieces. Onward, upward and so forth.
