It is supposed to be chilly and rainy for the first half of the week. My menu this week reflects that. It is nice to have some colder weather foods again. Though I am not ready for it to stay cold for long. I do love my warm sunshine.
It’s going to be another busy week for me. I spent most of last week really, really sick, so I didn’t get most of the canning I needed to do done. I did get the peaches done and a batch of peach jam. So I still have lots of canning to do. I’m going to try my hand at pepper jelly for the first time. I’m kind of excited to try this one. We like it, and it will be wonderful to make my own. I’m also canning chard, making salsa, and sweet & sour sauce. If I have time after this is all done, then I’ll start working with the crab apples.
Here is what I have planned for this week:
Eggs, Toast, Bacon or Sausage
Olive Garden Toscana Soup
Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy
