It is Thanksgiving week! We are really looking forward to a great turkey dinner and spending time together as a family. This will be the first Thanksgiving without my Mom. It will definitely be different. My Dad isn’t really wanting to celebrate any of the holidays this year. But we are making him. Being all together will help all of us get through them without her.
I have been trying for the past few days to take a picture of a couple of Blue Jays that have been visiting my bird feeder. They are camera shy. Hopefully I can get one before they move on in their migration. We don’t see them very often around here, so it is really neat. Hopefully I can get a good picture and share it with you.
Here is what we are planning to eat this week…
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Pork Chops & Sauerkraut
Tuesday: Cheeseburgers, Fries
Wednesday: Pizza & Wings
Thursday: Turkey Dinner! We are having turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, roasted brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes with bacon and pomegranates, rolls, cranberry sauce, and lots of pie. Pies this year are pumpkin, apple, pecan, chocolate cream, and lemon meringue.
Sunday: Turkey Soup
