I missed posting my menu last week. I had one, but just didn’t get it posted here on my blog. Oops!
Last week ended with lots of fun and new things around here. First of all, I died my hair and it turned out redder than I thought. I have a little red in my hair anyway, but I wanted to cover up all the grey that seems to be popping up. I was getting sick of people telling me that I was going grey nicely and doing it the right way. I know they meant well, but it just made me feel OLD. I have used a color in the past that had a little red in it and it just accented my natural highlights, and didn’t make it RED. So I thought nothing of using this color. I now realize that I have used 6R in the past and this box was 5R. Big difference. Hahahaha! Anyway, though it was redder than I had planned, it is growing on me and I am liking it. What do you think?
The other exciting thing is that we got a new to us car Friday evening. Our old one was on its last legs and we were getting worried about putting more money into fixing it than it was worth. So we brought this cute little 2012 Toyota Scion home with us. It has less than 28,000 miles on it, so we feel like we won the car lottery in the used car market.
I am now expecting people to start saying I must be going through a mid-life crisis–first the hair color, and then a new car on the same day. I’m really not, I had the hair color for a good week or so before I even bothered to use it. And I had been planning it for a long time before that. And the car was a necessity and the car dealership just happened to have a deal going on and had exactly what we needed that day. It did make for a great way to start the weekend though. 🙂
This week I am going to be using lots of different veggies from the garden to go with our meals. Still an easy meal week as I have a lot going on that will be keeping me very busy. So glad I plan these meals out. I just don’t have the brain capacity to have to think of those at the last minute with everything else I am using my brain for this week. HA!

Saturday: Beef & Broccoli, Rice, Eggrolls
Sunday: Steak, Baked Potatoes, Corn on the Cob
