About the Authors:
Brenda Minton lives in the Ozarks with her husband, three children, a horse, a few cats and a couple of dogs. What she says about herself probably isn’t as important as what others say. Her daughter says she is “coffee crazy.” She isn’t afraid to share that news with complete strangers. Her middle son thinks she is really embarrassing when she wears fuzzy pink slippers to pick him up at school. Her oldest son doesn’t comment. He’s a smart kid.
Brenda is a country girl who loves to travel. Her dream home is a house on the beach, waves crashing against the shore and a deck where she can have coffee and watch the sun come up.
What does she do when she’s not writing? Her kids say she talks on the phone a lot. That’s probably true. She’s looking into a twelve-step program, but unfortunately she has a lot of enablers who also like to talk on the phone.
She does have other hobbies. She loves to canoe, camp and hike. And of course, drink coffee on the front porch.
Born and raised in Kentucky, Missy met her very own hero when she headed off to grad school in Atlanta, Georgia. She promptly fell in love and hasn’t left Georgia since. She and her pastor husband have been married twenty-plus years now and have been blessed with three wonderful children along with an assortment of pets.
In LBC (life before children), Missy worked as a clinical microbiologist. Once she had her first baby, she retired to become a stay-at-home mom. She’s grateful to God that she was able to do that for sixteen years and had the opportunity to pursue her writing during that time. Nowadays, in addition to her writing, she teaches as an adjunct instructor at a local technical college.
Missy is an award-winning writer and was a finalist in the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart Contest. After ten years of pursuing her dream, she made her first sale of a full-length novel to Steeple Hill. She still pinches herself to see if it really happened! Her debut novel, Her Unlikely Family, was released in February 2008.
Felicia Mason is a motivational speaker and award-winning author. She’s a two-time winner of the Waldenbooks Bestselling Multicultural Title Award, has received awards from Romantic Times, Affaire de Coeur and the Midwest Fiction Writers, and has won the Emma Award in 2001 for her work in the bestselling anthology Della’s House of Style. Glamour magazine readers named her first novel, For the Love of You, one of their all-time favorite love stories, and her novel Rhapsody was made into a television film.
Felicia has been a writer as long as she can remember, and loves creating characters who seem as real as your best friends. She is a “preacher’s kid” and a former Sunday school teacher.
Felicia has lived in Pennsylvania and Ohio and now makes her home in Virginia, where she enjoys quilting, reading, traveling and listening to all types of music.
Jean C. Gordon
Jean C. Gordon’s writing is a natural extension of her love of reading. From that day in first grade when she realized t-h-e was the word “the,” she’s been reading everything she can put her hands on. A professional financial planner and editor for a financial publisher, Jean is as at home writing retirement- and investment-planning advice as she is writing romance novels, but finds novels a lot more fun.
She and her college-sweetheart husband tried the city life in Los Angeles, but quickly returned home to their native Upstate New York. They share a 170-year-old farmhouse just south of Albany, NY, with their daughter and son-in-law, two grandchildren, and a menagerie of pets. Their son lives nearby. While Jean creates stories, her family grows organic fruits and vegetables and tends the livestock de jour.
Although her day job, writing and family don’t leave her a lot of spare time, Jean likes to give back when she can. She and her husband team-taught a seventh-and-eighth-grade Sunday school class for several years and currently serve on her church’s Evangelism Committee. She also shares her love of books with others by volunteering at the church’s Book Nook.
Lorraine Beatty was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, but has been blessed to live in Germany, Connecticut, and Baton Rouge. She now calls Mississippi home. She and husband Joe have two sons and six grandchildren. Lorraine started writing in Junior High and has written for trade books, newspapers and company newsletters. She is a member of RWA, ACFW and is a charter member, and past president of Magnolia State Romance Writers. In her spare time she likes to work in her garden, travel, and spend time with her family.
Patricia Johns began her writing career with a degree in English Literature and a tiny apartment in a bad part of town. She took her starving artist days seriously and quit her sensible full-time job in favor of part-time gigs, much to her parents’ horror. It paid off, however, with her first published novel. That was ten years ago, and in the meantime, she has written several novels in other genres, but has always longed to write Harlequin romance. Her dream came true with her first release in July 2013.

I have already shared that I love reading clean romance books with you before. I simply adore the Love Inspired Series as they are clean romances and often are just simply really great stories! I have enjoyed this current set of Love Inspired books. I found myself reading WAY too late on more than one occasion. I sheepishly will admit that Bachelor to the Rescue and Winning the Teacher’s Heart have been two of those read-way-past-my-sleeping-time-and-almost-to-waking-time books. What can I say? I just love great stories!
These books are a perfect way to wish your Mom Happy Mother’s Day if she likes clean romance stories. I really think she will love them and enjoy those quiet moments that reading a great book provides. And the tug at the heart strings doesn’t hurt either. If you love these kinds of stories, why not treat yourself? You won’t regret it. I have enjoyed each and every one.
