A friend of mine came up with the challenge to read, listen or watch each talk from the April 2013 General Conference before the October 2013 General Conference happens. I loved this idea and immediately decided to join in and participate. Listening or watching ONE conference talk a day really isn’t that much. And I think it will be wonderful to have these words in my heart before we hear the new words in October. I think it will be interesting to be able to knowingly compare the talks and find the similarities and differences from each conference as I will have just listened to those words very recently.
I thought you might like to join me in this challenge. To make it easy for you to find each talk, I will be posting one each day for 36 days. This is the 7th day of this challenge. Day 7 is the concluding talk from the first session of General Conference. You can find the other days of the challenge here. I hope this is a blessing to you as I am sure it will bless me to listen to the words of our leaders–the modern day Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ, and His Prophet.
Here is the video for Day 7. President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor in the First Presidency is the speaker. The name of his talk is Come unto Me.
By His words and His example, Christ has shown us how to draw closer to Him.
