About Goodbye to Yesterday…
Wanda E. Brunstetter delivers a fresh take on Amish romance with her one-of-a-kind Discovery series. Releasing as a serial novel, the compelling love story will be broken into 6 short books releasing consecutively over a six-month period. Each novel will end in a heart-wrenching cliffhanger that will leave you dying to know what happens next. In the first book, Goodbye to Yesterday, Amish couple Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus are faced with the greatest challenge of their young lives. Financial struggles. Arguments. A suspected pregnancy. A last-minute trip to Middlebury, Indiana. A deadly encounter at a Philadelphia bus station. Will their love and faith be enough to bring them back together again, against all odds?

I love Amish fiction. I find the characters interesting and the stories are always clean. They are stories I am not embarrassed to have someone else see me read. Lately, it seems the ones I have been reading have an element of sweet romance, but also a hint of suspense and mystery. They have the best of both worlds. Action and Suspense, but yet a clean romance. This makes it just about perfect in my world of fiction.
What I am not a fan of is the cliffhanger. It’s why I don’t like to read a series until I have all of the books in hand. I like instant gratification. I hate waiting to find out what happens, as I am not a patient person. When I become invested in a character, I want to know what happens with them and that they are going to be fine. Having said all of this, you probably are thinking I am about to say I hated this book. But honestly, I really liked it. It was a quick read and I quickly began to care about Meridith and LUKE. I wanted things to work out for them and I wanted the new venture they were undertaking to be a success for them. And since I understand this is only book 1 of 6, I guess I will have to be patient about waiting for this story to unfold. You can bet I will be tapping my foot in complete impatience for the next installment. Is Luke ok? Is Meridith pregnant? I just need to know what happens.
Do I think you will like this book? Yes, I do. Do I think you will hate the cliffhanger as much as I do? Probably. Should you read it anyway? Yes!
