So, here I am after my second day of prepping for my personal and work challenge. I accomplished a lot today, though none of it involved any actual writing. That will be changing soon enough, and day to day stuff still has to get done, right?
I had a lazy morning as I didn’t actually get to sleep until about 3 am. I will try again tonight to sleep earlier. It’s a process and will take some time to adjust. Anyway, I spent most of the morning reading some writing boards and blog posts.
Picked tomatoes in the garden so I can make them into salsa. I was planning to do that today, but I’m not feeling the best today, so it will happen tomorrow most likely. Got the tomatoes picked and ready though.
Took the car to get the “Check Engine” light checked. It threw a stupid code and they reset it for me. Apparently I have a small emissions leak, so nothing too serious. And since I don’t live in California, Utah, or anywhere else where that would cause my car to fail an inspection, they just laughed and said it wasn’t a big deal at all and I could fix it “someday” if I wanted. Glad it was a minor issue and I don’t have to pour money into the car. Whew!
I spent quite awhile working on my Trello boards and getting things organized. I found some great videos on youtube that offered some great info and inspiration. I particularly liked this one:
This program really is the coolest thing I’ve seen lately. And would you believe that I found videos on using Trello in your school, and even using Trello to menu plan? I think you are only limited by your imagination. (Can you tell I like this program just a little bit?)
I did website maintenance tasks for each of my websites. Things are all updated now and I can not worry about it for a few weeks anyway. I set up a reminder card in Trello so I can do this at least once a month. It should go much more quickly if I plan on doing it monthly.
Chandler is responsible for creating the bulletin and program for our Ward each Sunday at church. He is also responsible for the content that is placed on our church Facebook page. He has made the goal of placing at least one inspirational picture meme per day that goes along with the topic discussed in church each Sunday. Since there weren’t any already available for the topic this Sunday, I found quotes from our church leaders and then put them with pictures for him. So I created 7 inspirational picture memes for him tonight that he’ll use on Facebook this next week. He also chose one of them to put on the front of the program for Sunday. Whew! That was a job! Glad I could help him though.
Took the dog for her nightly walk. She was as loony as ever. I told her she was an oompa loompa. Sometimes she is just nuts. But hey, we got our walk in before bed. It was super quiet because everyone was in bed already since school starts tomorrow for the public school kids. It’s sure weird that we aren’t doing ANY school. Still an adjustment since he graduated.
I am just finishing up this post and then I am headed to bed tonight. Here is hoping I can actually sleep. It will make my day go so much smoother tomorrow if I do.
