I recently heard about a blogging challenge for the month of October called 31 Days. For 31 days you are supposed to blog about a topic of your choice in the theme you have chosen for those 31 days. I knew I wanted to do this, but what on earth was I going to blog about for 31 days?
I thought about doing 31 days of Spirituality or Testimony. My first inclination is always in the spiritual realm. It is just who I am. But since I am hosting my Annual Gratitude Challenge again in November, I decided to steer away from the inspiring.
Then I thought about doing 31 days of Humor and posting humorous anecdotes about my life for 31 days. I used to have a column over at Home & School Mosaics called Organized Chaos that was a humor column. I decided I didn’t want to be funny for 31 days straight, and besides, not everyone gets or appreciates my humor.
Then I contemplated doing 31 Days of Recipes or something in that area. But honestly, I would have to be dedicated to not only cooking from scratch each day and taking a picture of it, but also making sure I only did new recipes. I may keep that in mind for the future. But I just don’t have time for that this year.
After that, I thought about doing 31 Days of Prepping for NanoWrimo or Plotting a Book, or something along those lines. Since I am currently striving to get a series of novellas out under a pen name all before Christmas, I thought maybe I shouldn’t write about writing at the moment. I would worry too much what I was sharing and not get my BIC (Butt in Chair) and HOK (Hands on Keyboard). Honestly, the book series has the priority here. I really gotta get that done.
So I pondered and finally came up with 31 Days Keeping It Real. A total Epiphany, I know. What can you expect? I have no clue. I only know it will be real. Kind of like this post. Most likely, it will have a combination and elements of many of the other ideas I had prior to this one. Some days will be funny. Some days will be inspiring. But no matter what, it will always be real. You’ll get to know me probably a bit better. You will probably get a glimpse of what goes on in my tiny doggy mind on a daily basis. It will be ME.
To make things easy for you to find, I’ll link up each post right here on this post. I have put a button on my sidebar and if you click on it, it will bring you right here where you can find all my Keeping It Real posts. Easy Peasy. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know, ok?
