Time for another 3 Things Thursday. This time I am devoting this post to being sick since I’ve been sick all week.
1. I hate being sick. I mean utterly despise it. I have never liked it or wished it upon anyone. Ever.
2. When I get super sick and run a fever, I hallucinate and/or have weird dreams. I have since I was a child. I’ve never outgrown it. When I was younger I would often feel like the walls were closing in on me and my chest would feel heavy like someone was sitting on it. I would even see the walls moving. It was awful. This past week I’ve been dreaming some weird dreams and most of them are not induced by antihistamines. I actually had a dream this week that I gave birth to FOUR children in the next few months–2 boys and 2 girls. And they all had full sets of teeth and I commented that it was a good thing I couldn’t nurse them as they were like little piranhas. I also argued about naming one of the boys. We couldn’t name him Justin because we had a nephew named that. Dustin was my brother in law and we couldn’t do that either. Dusty was out because that name just sounded dirty. And so we might as well just call him Kent. No clue where that one came from. None. I can’t even have anymore kids, so don’t think this was a pregnancy dream. It wasn’t. Anyone else have weird dreams when they are sick? (Please make me feel better here. My family is probably one step away from introducing me to the men in white coats.)
3. I am an ovarian cancer survivor. Have I ever shared that? I can’t remember through this haze that is currently my brain. I just knew it was important that I share it. Make sure you go to your doctor and have those girl parts checked out regularly. Early detection is the key to surviving. I’m glad we caught mine early.
