Welcome to this year’s Gratitude Challenge! I hope this blesses you as much as it does me each year. I really love taking just a few moments each day to remember all of my blessings that God has blessed me with. With so much turmoil all around us in this world at the moment, I think it is a really good thing to take a moment and focus on those blessings. We learn how very blessed we are and all the things we may feel are lacking in our lives seem to just fade away.
I am thankful for so many things in my life. I am grateful that I was asked a few days ago if I was going to do this again this year. I honestly had thought about not doing it. But I have always said that if this even means something to just one person, then I will do it. I am now sitting here writing this and I am glad I am doing it again. So thank you for encouraging me to do this challenge once again. I need this.
So today, I just want to say I am grateful for each of you and for this challenge. Reading the things you write about the blessings in your lives fills my heart to overflowing. It helps me to be prepared for the season of giving. It prepares me for the season of remembering the birth of Christ. It helps me to count my blessings and name them one by one. The funny thing is that the more I count and name my blessings, I seem to find more than I can possibly count. Our God is pretty amazing that way. I am thankful to be His child and that He loves me enough to bless me no matter what.
I’ve tried to make it even easier for everyone to participate this year. If you don’t have a blog, feel free to leave a comment beneath this post for what you are thankful for today. Or please visit my Garden of Learning Facebook page and share what you are grateful for there on the daily post. We can all find something to be thankful for each day. I hope you will join me in counting your many blessings each day.
What are you thankful for today?
