I know the other day I said I was thankful for my family, and I truly am. But that was more of a collective thankful thing. Today, I am going to be a bit more specific. I will be specific for the other boy another day too. 😉
Today I am thankful for Chandler. He is why I am a mother. And why I do many of the things that I do. He is the reason I homeschool. He is the reason I work from home. He is the reason I laugh a lot. He is my buddy and my friend.
Yesterday, I got a letter in the mail from his Seminary teacher. The letter contained his grade for the first quarter, which was an A+. It was pretty neat to see him doing so well and getting that kind of grade in his most important class, you know? But what really floored me was what she wrote about him. It was one of those moments when you are super proud to be a parent. Here is what she said:
“Chandler is having just a super year in Seminary. All of the kids like him. He is always ready to participate and obviously is learning a lot. It is a joy to know and to teach him.”
Pretty cool, huh?
I think that the next time I am asked about socialization in regards to his homeschooling, I am going to pull out that letter and show them. LOL!
Anyway, I am thankful that God blessed me with such a wonderful son. He is so smart and has such a great heart. I am proud to be his mom and I am thankful he is also my friend. He is just a neat kid!
What are you thankful for today?
